Pretty Spring Dresses and Skirts From Target

I stopped into Target earlier this week, and oh my goodness you guys, there are SO many cute new spring arrivals! It has been a month or so since I ventured in and searched the racks. Spring has definitely arrived (at least at Target-it snowed here today!). There are so many bright colors, fun cuts, and more tie dye! Keep reading to see my top picks for pretty spring dresses and skirts from Target. And BONUS-dresses, jeans, shorts, and shoes are all 20% off this week when you add the Target Circle offer before checking out!

Pretty Spring Dresses and Skirts From Target

I broke down my try on by item type. There are some cute skirt outfits below, but I had to start this post off with some pretty dresses!

This coral dress is so darn cute, and comes in multiple color options. I was nervous it would be too short based on how it looked on the rack, but the length is actually great. This would be so cute under a jean jacket, or a cardigan for the office. I am wearing my true size large.

Dress // Sandals

I applied my normal filter to the photo below, so it appears slightly less green than it really is. However, while the website labels this color as ‘green’, I considered it yellow when I picked it up! If you liked the t-shirt dress that I shared in this post, but are concerned about length, this is a great option. It hits just past my knee (I am 6′ tall), and is totally work appropriate. You can grab this one in multiple colors!

Dress // Sandals

I have always been kind of terrified of slip dresses. Maybe it is because they remind me of lingerie? But I am seriously in LOVE with this cheetah print little number! The straps are adjustable, and while I was afraid I would feel exposed, I didn’t! I think I would style this under a black blazer with heels to dress it up!

Dress // Sandals

If there was a dress made to be worn with sandals for an easy breezy summer look, this is it. I also think this would be so adorable under a jean jacket with some tennis shoes! Again, I was worried about the length. While I probably wouldn’t wear this to work, I thought the length totally worked on my long body for a weekend or date night look!

Dress // Sandals

I forgot to snap a picture, so I had to capture a still from a video for the white dress below 😉 This pretty dress hits mid calf on me, and comes in a few other colors. There is also a pretty coral color that I have my eye on. This dress is very modest, and would be a great option for Easter church or a family get together!

Denim Skirts

Alright, onto the skirts! I am only sharing one in the photos below, but I linked a few other denim options at the bottom of this post. I am SO glad that jean skirts are back in style-they are one of my absolute favorite trends from high school. I am wearing the skirt in a size 10-it works, but if you like your skirts roomier I would say go up a size in this one. I typically find myself needing to size up one in most Wild Fable items! The tie dye tee and skirt below is basically a summary of my favorite fashion trends of all time in one outfit. I am wearing a large tee-fits true to size, go up a size for a roomier fit.

Tee // Skirt // Sandals

Saw this sweatshirt, and figured it was probably designed with mamas in mind. Especially on the weekend-coffee until cocktails is basically my life story! It is a nice lightweight fabric, and the prettiest pale coral color. I sized up to an extra large, which I usually do in sweatshirts for a roomier fit.

Sweatshirt // Skirt // Sandals

I have shared this tee before, and I don’t plan to stop any time soon! You just cannot beat a $12 band tee. I size up to an extra large in this one so it has a more oversized fit.

Pink Jumpsuit

Okay, this is neither a dress nor a skirt, but this jumpsuit is TOO cute and I could NOT keep it to myself! Just a warning, the fabric does not stretch, so if you have a long torso, definitely size up a full size. I am wearing a large in the photos, but I would purchase myself an extra large. The ankles are a jogger  style, and the belt is such a cute detail. It looks lavender/blush in the photo below, but it is almost more of a super pale acid wash. A definite statement piece, I have a feeling this jumpsuit will sell out fast!

Which look is your favorite out of my spring dresses and skirts from Target? Are you more of a dress person or a skirt person? I personally love a good mix of both, especially once spring arrives.

Warm Weather Fashion At Target

Spring is finally HERE, and it has me wanting to shop for ALL of the warm weather clothing! I have been having fun sharing my seasonal favorites at Target (like my winter picks and early spring). I hit up Target recently and tried on a number of warm weather styles, and am sharing them with you below! Again, I am 6’0 so tall girls have an idea of what will work 🙂 I will say all of these items work whether you are tall or short! Keep reading to see my favorite warm weather fashion at Target!

I immediately fell in love with this salmon colored jacket. It is stretchy, and fits incredibly well. I love finding a colored item that still can be paired with just about anything. And the shorts below are a tall girl’s DREAM. I actually talked about them in my post last week, because I couldn’t wait! They are cut longer in the back, so they are short shorts that still cover the booty. If you are tall, these shorts are PERFECT. But again, they really will for for anyone!

Jacket // Tank Top // Shorts

I had a hard time finding this shirt online, so I am not sure if it just a new item or if it is out of stock. But it was fully stocked in stores! I love the subtle stripes, and how the tie front takes it a step above being a basic tee. The chambray shorts are drawstring and SO cozy. They would be perfect thrown on over a swimsuit or playing around in the yard with the kids. SO soft!

Tee (could not find online) // Drawstring shorts

Nothing beats a basic white tee, and these are so affordable and come in plenty of other colors! They are a nice weight, and so perfect to stock up on for summer. I would size up so you can knot the front or have some extra length to tuck it in. The black shorts are high rise, and DO NOT have stretch. I almost always wear a size 8 in bottoms at Target, but I absolutely would do a 10 in these. But so cute, I absolutely love the black denim trend!

This tank reminds me of my favorite from Old Navy last year, but SO much more comfortable. It is softspun, but incredibly light. I plan to snag it in just about every color. It is so perfect and versatile for dressing up or lounging.

Game of Thrones Collection

Where are my Game of Thrones fans!? Fell in love with this tank as soon as I saw ‘I drink and I know things’, because it is basically true 😉 Target has a TON of GOT apparel right now in anticipation of the final season that is about to come out, and I want it all! I also just saw this one in stores and fell in love!

Another tank from the GOT collection. May have to wear it for the premier night!

Tank Top // Shorts

I love, love, LOVE this tie front tank! I tried it on a whim and could not believe how flattering it was one. It is almost liked a faded chambray in color, and it is longer in back. SO cute, I would also pair it with a pair of white denim and wedges!

Tank Top // Shorts

Alright, going out of my comfort zone here because this bikini is too cute not to share! There are SO many cute styles at Target right now, I am thinking of doing a post dedicated to just swim. Based on reviews, I sized up in both the top and bottom. I would definitely size up in the bottoms, but in my opinion the top was more true to size and I would go with my regular Large top. It is not ideal for super busty girls, but anything up to a C or D cup should have no problem wearing this suit! It also comes in lavender and bright pink!

Spring Fashion Finds: Delicate White Tank Top

Unfortunately, I still seem to be going on. And on. And on about the weather. There is something so liberating about stepping outside without a jacket on after months of hibernation. I have been wearing as many tank tops and cute shirts as I can lately now that my wardrobe isn’t hidden beneath a parka. The moment I laid eyes on this delicate white tank top, I knew I had to have it!

Top c/o Pink Blush // Jeans // Bag c/o Lily Jade // Watch // Sunglasses (take 25% off with code STANGANDCO)

I love the pretty flower detail at the bustline, and I am loving the crochet detail at the bottom. I am a sucker for a good white tank top, and just love how this one is spruced up with fun details. It is amazing how a details can transform a delicate white tank top.

Pink Blush has been one of my long time favorite boutiques. I actually first started wearing their clothing when I was pregnant with Lincoln, but they quickly transitioned to one of my go-to stores for dresses and casual items after he was born! I am always amazed at the fun pieces I am able to find on their website.

What trends do you most look forward to in the spring? Are you a basics kind of gal, or do you love to go for the fun, trendy styles!?

The Utility Jacket: Five Fun Styles To Try

Spring is FINALLY among us (it took her long enough!) and I am wearing, for the first time since November, jackets that aren’t parkas and peacoats! There are SO many cute spring items on the shelves right now, and i have been dying to put them to good use. One of my absolute favorite items that is so trendy right now is a classic utility jacket. They are so perfect thrown over a t-shirt, but can also be dressed up. And while I love a good basic jacket, I am also a sucker for details. Keep reading for five of my favorite fun and unique utility jacket trends!

Lace detail

I saw this jacket on my friend Taylor, and immediately fell in love with it. The price tag is kind of steep, but Gap always has incredible sales and discounts. On the day I purchased it, It was marked down to only $50, and I had $25 in rewards, so I snagged this $160 jacket for, no lie, $25. I just love the navy blue lace detailing over the shoulders, and the adjusting waistband ties. The quality is amazing and it really is worth the price, but a rule of thumb at Gap is to NEVER pay more than 60% for something. They offer sales with 40% off pretty much weekly!

Camo print

Confession: my husband made fun of this one. But the joke is on him, because the camouflage trend is EVERYWHERE right now. I was hesitant to jump on board, but I kid you not, this is one of my favorite jackets ever. It comes in a bunch of other colors, as well as petite and tall sizes. I ordered a large tall (I usually wear a medium at this store but sized up so I can layer) and it fits like a dream. Other fun options can be found here and here. And if you are feeling EXTRA fun, this one is camo AND blush. All of the heart eyes!

You can find my jeans here, and my booties here

Fun sheer detail

I am a sucker for pretty details, and I actually snagged this jacket last spring. But it is still in stock, and comes in this color too! It has a drawstring waist so it can be adjusted, and I just love the unexpected look of the chiffon layer beneath the utility jacket. Mixing fabrics is one of my favorite ways to spruce up a simple look!

Soften it up with blush

My love for blush runs deep, and that extends to utility jackets. I love and wear mine constantly! The pink detail above the pocket is a fun touch on this one, And I love that this one is a little bit longer! And my favorite option that comes in so many colors includes a pretty blush, too!

Add a hood!

While I haven’t added a utility jacket with a hood to my collection just yet, I do have the utility vest pictured below, which is another fun way to layer during the spring months while still looking stylish. I have always loved how a hood can make an outfit feel so casual and cozy. I love this color, and the adorable details on this one. There are so many options out there, my husband might need to take my credit cards away to keep me from stocking up on all of them 😉

Friday Favorites: Welcome Spring [And Everyday Pieces]

Happy Friday, friends! Who else welcomed the first day of spring this week with more snow? I heard they are expecting another bit storm out east. Since we are just getting enough snow to make me annoyed, I will stop complaining because a dusting is better than a blizzard 😉 I have to say, I have been on quite the shopping kick lately. I am just so excited to start wearing all of the spring things! So today I am rounding up my new favorite everyday pieces! If you are looking for basics, neutrals, and basically #oldnavy, keep on reading!

1. The bralette heard round the world

Well, after what feels like a lifetime of lusting over this bralette, I finally bit the bullet and invested in one. And you guys, it was worth every. single. penny. I always struggle so much with finding bras that work under shirts, and this bralette is just so pretty and I love that it is designed to be shown off! Now I need to practice some self control and not buy all of the other colors. They just started carrying them at Nordstrom, so I highly recommend trying it out. With free shipping and returns, if you have wondered if these are worth it, you have nothing to lose.

2. The softest tank tops

I shared these on my Instagram stories last week, and they were a hit! I have a number of the luxe tanks from Old Navy, and really do like them. However, they wrinkle very easily, and ironing is something I avoid at all costs. These tanks are cut the same as my classic favorites but are soft, almost like a thin sweater. And seriously NO WRINKLING. I got them in gray and green, and am debating snagging the other two colors. I also just noticed they have a t-shirt option in the same fabric, so I will be adding those to my cart, too!

3. Easy and versatile utility jackets

I shared this adorable camofaluge utility jacket last week, and you guys, I am so hooked! I have never been a camo fan. Perhaps it is because I grew up in a family of hunters and wanted nothing to do with anything hunting related? But lately I have just been loving the camoflauge trend. Even at full price, these jackets are an incredible deal, and come in so many pretty colors! I am also loving the army green and blush colors.

4. My new favorite sweater

I saw this sweater over on my friend Taylor recently, and had to have it! I love the front seam, and I am not exaggerating when I say it comes in EVERY color. I am a basics gal, so I got it in gray and white, and I have already worn both. It is incredible soft, and lightweight enough that it would be perfect to wear with shorts or capris during spring.

5. The perfect white camisole

I have been on the hunt for a lined cami that will work to wear to work under cardigans and blazers. I did try out this one, but unfortunately I am just too tall and it didn’t work with my long torso. For anyone of more average height, I would say they are great, though! But I found this one at Banana Republic, and it is PERFECT. It is a great length, and lined so that you cannot see through it. This is one of those classic everyday pieces that I will live in for work all spring and summer!

Five Must Have Spring Dress Styles

Spring is in the air, and that means pretty pastels and feminine spring fashion! The warm weather is slow to arrive here in the Midwest this year, but that hasn’t stopped me from dreaming about spring fashion. Nothing makes me happier than putting on a pretty spring dress and a fancy pair of shoes. I have rounded up my five go-to styles for spring, with all options below $100, and most below $50!

Ruffle Midi Dress

My oh my, this lavender ruffle midi dress caught my eye the moment I saw it. I just love the delicate color, and all of the pretty details. An asymmetrical ruffle dress is perfect for keeping things feminine with a bit of edginess, as well. I have always been a sucker for for BB Dakota, and this dainty spring dress is perfect for weekend brunch. And finally, while I love the pastels of spring, this bright and bold dress is so fun and a unique twist on the traditional spring dress we usually think of.

Tee Shirt Dress

While most think of short sleeves when talking about tee shirt dresses, I love this french terry dress and how it has long sleeves and is a bit thicker. It is the perfect dress to bridge that winter/spring gap. This cozy swing dress is a cult favorite and super affordable. And bonus, it is so flowy that you never have to worry about it clinging to the wrong places. I am convinced that every woman should own a simple black dress. It can be dressed up or down, and we all need those versatile pieces in our closets! This tie waist dress is still super casual while having such a fun detail it can totally be dressed up, too! I saw this bell sleeve dress and about died. A baseball tee, dress, and bell sleeves all in one!? Yes please!

Shirt Dress

I am an absolute sucker for demin, so this dress that is denim with a pretty tie detail is an absolute must in my book. And if there is one thing I love more than denim, it is a good gingham dress, it is one of my absolute favorite patterns. This dress pushes the limits with its open shoulders and fun pattern.

OTS Dress

Off the shoulder looks have been one of my favorite trends over the past two years. This pretty teal dress is a great color with lots of fun details. And as a tall girl, hi-lo midi length dresses are my jam, so this coral floral dress is right up my alley. And while I love dresses with lots of details, I also absolutely adore the simplicity of this adorable fit and flare dress.

Lace Dress

A good lace dress can be used for so many occasions. Easter, weddings, and date nights would all be the perfect opportunity to wear this Intricate lace dress. I am a sucker for a good high neck dress and the lavender color of this one is just gorgeous. And this dropped shoulder dress is modest, but definitely a little bit sexy, too!

What are your favorite spring dress styles? There are so many options out there right now. Isn’t spring fashion just a breath of fresh air!?
