Weekly Roundup

Happy Friday you guys, we made it through the week! I am off today, and we are heading to the lake this afternoon. I don’t know why, but I kept thinking we were a day ahead all week long, so I am SO glad it was a short week! Jackson turns F-I-V-E tomorrow, and I cannot believe it. He was adamant about having a party, so I am doing as much prep as possible this morning so we have things ready for his bash on Sunday! I cannot wait to share his theme. The boys are SO into parties and have been counting down to wearing their outfits on Sunday! Otherwise, keep reading for my weekly roundup, and be sure to head to my Instagram to enter a Target Giveaway!

Colorblock Sweater

One of my favorite items from this weekly roundup. I feel like if the pumpkin spice latte invented a sweater, this would be it! ๐Ÿ˜‰ We have already had some brief previews of fall weather here in Minnesota, and now that I get to dress more casual for work, I knew I needed this sweater. It is so perfect for those cozy fall days, but ALSO how cute does it pair with shorts!? Long sleeves and shorts will forever be one of my favorite combos!

Rainbow Dress

You all went crazy over the rainbow dress I shared this week! I have a blog post up with more shots and views of it that you can read here. It runs true to size, but if you are between sizes, I would go up one as it does not have stretch. It is fully lined, and is slightly shorter in the front. With code JU5 you can snag an extra $5 off! This is one of those dresses that just feels magical! I will be sharing a post next week on different ways to style on it, so be sure to check back for that!

The Coziest Cardigan

I have wanted to get one of these cardigans for years, and I finally took advantage during the #nsale and fell in love! It is SO good you guys. The fabric is beyond soft, but also feels durable and so high quality. It really is hard to explain, but I have never felt anything like it and it is still on sale for a few more days! Sizes and colors keep going in and out of stock, but just keep refreshing as returns are coming in lots!

Sunshine Vibes

This post was popular for a fun reason-it was shot by my boys! I have mastered taking photos with my tripod, because in all honesty that is the easiest option. I hate asking people for help, so I self shoot as much as possible! But this week I decided to hand the camera over to my boys who are 3 and 5 (tomorrow!) and see what happens. And they do such a good job! I adjust all the settings beforehand, but they learned so quickly how to get the object of the photo in focus! Having them help is so much fun, and they really seem to love it to and feel so grown up. More photography by Lincoln coming your way, so stay tuned!

Casual Office Look

Another photo courtesy of Lincoln ๐Ÿ˜‰ I have been loving getting to dress down for work. We still have SOME standards of course, butย  jeans and cute tees are fair game! I have gotten some questions on these shoes lately, too. They are SO comfortable and perfect for walking in!

Lavender and Eucalyptus Bridal Shower

I swear I have thrown more showers in the last two years than I ever could have imagined. Mike and I each come from families of four children, and literally everyone got married and had kids at the same time! SO. MANY. PARTIES. But they are the best kind of parties, right?! Earlier this month I worked with my sisters-in-law to throw a bridal shower for Mike’s youngest sister. Her wedding will be lavender with lots of green, so I decided to stick to that with the shower, and I loved how it turned out! Keep scrolling to see all of the photos below, and where to find everything will be listed at the bottom of the post!

Lavender and Eucalyptus Bubbly Bar Details

I love nothing more than a good mimosa bar. I did a similar one at my sister’s bachelorette party, and had so many of the items on hand anyway that it made sense to do another one. Let me tell you, it was a hit! There is never a time where people will not want a mimosa, and it was fun to watch people mix up different varieties. I love these stemless champagne flutes because they still feel elegant, but are also much less likely to get broken ๐Ÿ˜‰ The sequin tablecloth is from Amazon and comes in every color under the sun! Most of the other items are from either Target or Hobby Lobby, and super affordable!

The Menu

We kept the rest of the menu simple, with fruit and yogurt parfait shooters, this delicious egg slider recipe, and lots of mini muffins and snack cakes from Sam’s Club.

I had these little shot glasses left over from my sister’s bachelorette party, and they were perfect for mini parfaits. I grabbed some mini gold spoons for them and it is so much less messy than having people make their own!

These darling plates, silverware, and paper straws were all generously gifted for this party from Coterie.

Faux Florals

My father in law made this planter box for our mantle a few years ago, and I LOVE it. I always have flowers in it, which hides all of Mike’s cords for the TV ๐Ÿ˜‰ It was easy to decorate by swapping out my florals for lots of lavender and eucalyptus stems. I swap this box out every few months (or more, when fall/winter holidays roll around!) It is one of my favorite pieces because it is a part of our every day dรฉcor but can so easily be switched out to match any event we have going on!

The Best Invitations

I swear Mixbook is a hidden gem for party invitations. I have used them for our holiday cards, our wedding programs, and now these invitations. Their prices are unbeatable, and the quality is fantastic! And a feature that they offer that most other print websites do not is color customization. I was able to pick every last color for my wedding programs! It allows so much more flexibility in getting exactly what you envision for an invitation or card, and like I said, their prices are SO good!

Lots of florals and this adorable crate are all from hobby lobby! All of the white hydrangeas that you see are all fresh cut from my mom’s bushes in front of her house ๐Ÿ™‚ Over the past few years, I have continued to pick up fake florals for different parties, holidays, etc. I have now reached the point where I have so many color combinations, I feel like I am ready for just about anything! My absolute favorite addition over the past year has been lots of eucalyptus-it is so in style but more importantly, it goes with everything!

Thank you for reading all of the details on this lavender and eucalyptus bridal shower. I have learned over the last year or two that once you start hosting parties and collecting items (like a huge bin of fake flowers) it becomes so easy to pull together! All items are linked below, and to check out my past parties, those links are below as well!
