If you’re anything like me, you are likely sticking close to home for Valentine’s Day this year. I am about as desperate as it gets for a date night out. I love my boys so much, but Mike and I are overdo for a night of no dishes and no interruptions to our conversations 😉 We are planning a Valentine’s Day brunch for our boys, and I am working on coming up with something for us to do together at home. It will probably end up being ordering pizza because pizza is our happy place! Regardless of what we do, I still want to dress up and feel festive for Valentine’s Day. I have a feeling many of you can relate too (who else is sick of having nothing to ‘dress up’ for!?) So, I decided to round up 8 casual Valentine’s Day date night looks. Whether you’re staying in our going out, these are all comfy and casual options you will love.
Casual Valentine’s Day Date Night Outfits
This first look is a great one for wearing during the day on love day! The top is only $11 and is SO good, and my new white sneakers are under $25. This is an outfit I will wear on repeat well past Valentine’s Day and into spring.
Pretty Purple Peplum Sweater
This peplum sweater is one of my most asked about items and it is so cozy. The sleeve length is great and the peplum hits at a flattering point on the waist. I paired it with some black jeans and booties, but you could definitely pull this off with jeans and tennis shoes, too!
Cozy Colorblock Sweater
How cute is this colorblock sweater!? I didn’t notice when ordering, but the fabric is chenille, so it is SO soft. I have a size large and you could easily go down one size in this one.
How cute will this sweater be in a few months with a pair of jean shorts!? One of my favorite outfit combinations is a sweater or sweatshirt with a pair of cutoff shorts. I am getting nostalgic for those early summer nights just thinking about it!
Pink and Animal Print Under $20
Another top seller, this $19 sweatshirt has gone viral this year! So soft and cozy, but it runs small. I sized up to an extra large, and for a true oversized fit I could have gone up to an xxl. My shoes are another new find and they are under $30!
This sweatshirt tends to go in and out of stock. If you happen to catch it on an out of stock day, just sign up for alerts and you will get an e-mail as soon as your size is available!
Hot Pink Blazer
Okay label this my favorite blazer EVER. Fits like a dream, and the pink is the prettiest color. You can get it in solids as well, but I just love how the bright pink pops against any outfit. I paired it with my favorite black jeans and a flowy white tank top. All items are linked below. My blazer and tank top are both a size large, and my jeans are a size 10 long!
I haven’t had to go into the office in ten months, but you better believe this would be at the top of my list to wear to work to spice up my outfit for Valentine’s Day!
Classic Heart Sweater
This sweater sold out in a heartbeat last year, and I was so excited to see it brought back this year! The colors are so pretty, and it is nice and lightweight. I feel it runs a bit small, so size up if you want extra sleeve length or room in your midsection.
If you have kiddos, this is the perfect top. My boys absolutely live for me getting dressed up and making the house feel festive for all holidays, no matter how big or how small.
Chunky Henley Sweater
This henley sweater is one I will wear into the spring. I love the casual look, but the sweater material makes it a bit dressier. My exact jeans are no longer available, but I linked two nearly identical pairs below. I am wearing the sweater in a size large, and I wear a size 30-31 in this brand of jeans, depending on the amount of stretch!
Cozy Blush Sweater Dress with Over The Knee Boots
Alright, whether you are staying home or heading out, this is a dress that will work for you. It is a chenille fabric, and feels like pajamas. I will wear this even if we hang out at home. You can dress it up with boots or down with sneakers and a jean jacket. If you are heading out, my over the knee boots are the BEST I have found. At six feet tall, many options are too short, or fall down. These not only go well past my knee, but they stay up, even when I am running around outside! Either way, I promise you will be comfy in this dress. It is a roomy fit-I am wearing a size large!

I hope you all found these casual Valentine’s Day outfits helpful! What are you all up to for Valentine’s Day? We aren’t big ‘romantics’ in this house, but we always find something to do to make it special! Sending you all lots of love and hopes that babysitters and date nights out become a normal part of life again soon!
