Shift Dress Styled 3 Ways

Hello my friends! I am doing a happy dance this week because we are FINALLY set to see some temps in the 40s, and the mountains of snow outside are at least beginning to melt for the first time this year! I know I talk about the weather a lot, but let’s be real. When you live in Minnesota, winter pastimes basically include talking about the weather, complaining about the weather, and drinking wine. Since I try to keep my wine consumption within somewhat reasonable limits, complaining about the weather is what I do best! Since spring weather is finally kind of making an appearance, I wanted to share my favorite shift dress style with you all! This dress is a cult favorite, and for good reason. It is so comfy, flatters every body type, and comes in so many amazing colors! Keep reading for my favorite shift dress styles and how to change up the look of this versatile piece!

Style 1: Wear To Work

Since I work full time in an office setting, I rarely buy a piece that cannot be incorporated into my work rotation in some way. I threw this blazer on over the top of my shift dress, and added some cutout booties for an easy classy look. This would also work well with a pair of classic pumps or wedges, but as a tall girl, I love a good flat!

Style 2: Transitional For Seasons

One of my absolute favorite trends right now is the moto jacket. I love how it can take any look and make it a little bit edgy! I love this one, it is a soft sueded material and is stretchy, and comes in tall and petite sizes! This exact color is currently sold out, but there are a number of varieties still available!

Spring is slowly making her appearance here in Minnesota, but we definitely still have some cold days ahead of us. I love how over the knee boots can serve as a replacement for leggings or tights. I am fine with a tiny bit of leg showing if I have warm boots on, so it is a great compromise! This look would be perfect for date night or a night on the town with the girls!

Style 3: Casual

This may be my favorite shift dress style of the three options! There is something I just LOVE making a dress casual by pairing with some sneakers. I also recently realized baseball hates are GENIUS. Does anyone else have a husband or significant other who LOVES the baseball hat look? I think I will be rocking them a lot this summer, if anything to hide dirty hair-ha! These sneakers are a foam bottom and are SO ridiculously comfortable and lightweight. I am totally obsessed and will be seen wearing them on repeat.

The jean jacket I am wearing is OLD-I think I bought it from American Eagle the year Mike and I started dating! It just goes to show that if you buy a good jacket, it will last you forever! I still linked up a few styles you can buy in stores now, like this one from AE and this one from Old Navy!

Tell me, which style is your favorite?! They are all so different, I would love to know which shift dress style is your favorite!
