Friday Favorites-First Of March

Happy Friday, my friends! While I sit here complaining about the weather, I decided to take a break and instead celebrate the fact that it is MARCH today! February was the snowiest month we have EVER had (literally, it is going down in the actual history books), so I have my fingers and toes crossed that March will be kinder to us and treat us to some spring like weather! What better way than to kick off the first weekend of the month that brings SPRING that with some of the things I have been loving most recently!?

Oars and Alps

Most of you know by now we have done a major clean up of the products we use in our home. Some were easy switches, and some took more time. Surprisingly, finding clean bodywash and deodorant proved to be more challenging tasks. I was so excited to be able to give the new Oars and Alps products a try this month. I got some bar soap for Mike (that man ONLY likes bar soap!), as well as some deodorant. It is a mens line, but I treated myself to the under eye stick. It has a cooling effect and reduces puffiness. I love how it feels putting it on, and it makes this mama look a bit more awake!ย

A lot of products out there are promoted as clean, green, or safe, but just because a label says ‘clean’ doesn’t mean it is! I did a thorough cross check on all of the ingredients in Oars and Alps products, and these really are good, clean products! I absolutely love the smell of the deodorant, and Mike loves how it rolls on. And the bar soap smells like peppermint! What is better than a man that smells good!? Honestly, not much! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Amazon Finds

Okay, I do not know about you, but I have been absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the items on Amazon recently. So many styles are similar to what you find in mainstream boutiques, and between the low prices and Prime shipping, it just cannot be beat! I have shared a few of my recent favorites below. I think the tan and ivory sweater is my absolute FAVORITE-isn’t it so pretty!?

Cardigan // Cami // Jeansย

Sweater // Shorts // Sandals

Sweater // Denim // Booties

Jules and James

I have recently snagged a few pieces from Jules and James Boutique, and I cannot get over the quality, style, and price of the items! I have literally loved every single item I have worn, including the two sweaters shown below! And many of their items are carried at other large boutiques at much higher prices. I cannot recommend this boutique enough!ย

Brow Gel

After dragging my feet, I finally gave the new brow gel by Beautycounter a try, and I absolutely LOVE it! I have been using their brown pencil for awhile, and while it does the job, it is definitely on the lighter side. The brow gel goes a LONG way with just a tiny bit of product, and adds so much color and definition to my brows! It has been an incredible product for me, especially as someone with somewhat unruly and tough to manage brows!ย

Bunk Beds!

We aren’t 100% certain, but we are thinking of getting the boys some bunk beds! Since we moved them into a shared room a few months ago, they have asked multiple times. Of course, I have anxiety that they will go to war over the sacred top bunk ๐Ÿ˜‰ But really, I love the idea of getting some space back in their room. Right now we are storing their dresser in the closet! I like this one from Ikea, but also love the stairs option on this one. Do your kids have bunk beds? I am open to any and all suggestions!

I hope you all have the BEST weekend. We decided to take today off and get out of town, even if it is just to burn off some steam at the Mall of America. We have been so cooped up, and we haven’t taken the boys since they were itty bitty. I cannot wait to see their faces when they see all of the fun things to do there!
